Club Notes

-- The Groveland/Mascotte Garden Club will meet on Saturday, Feb. 6, at Lake David in Groveland at 9:15 a.m. to carpool to Russell's Bromeliads in Clermont. Guests are welcome. Russell's is a large Bromeliad nursery with a wide variety of plants. For information or directions contact Hershell or Jackie at 429 4271.

-- On Thursday, January 21, the 18 hole Ladies Group of Green Valley Country Club played a team event. The game was 1-2-3-counting 1 net score on the par fives, 2 net scores on the par 4s and 3 net scores on the par 3s. Winners were: 1st Place - Pat McCurdy, Carol Riccio and Kathy Jacobs. 2nd place - Joan Ireland, Ro D'Ambrosia and Sarah Jossart. 3rd place - Sue O'Bryan, Betty Dadalt, and Lucille Gross. On Thursday, January 28, the Ladies played an individual game counting only the odd numbered holes, less 1/2 handicap. Winners were: beginning with 1st place, Carol Riccio, Bert Hejl, Glenda Tannler, Barbara Boud, Sue O'Bryan, and Sarah Jossart.
