Parade of Homes takes new face in today's economy
TAVARES -- The Home Builders Association of Lake-Sumter is announcing a new venue and new face for consumers who are looking to buy a new home or remodel their existing home. The traditional Home Builders' Parade of Homes is being replaced with a Home Builders and Remodelers Expo being held on March 6, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., at Main Street Receptions, 200 E. Main St., corner of Canal St. and Main St. in downtown Leesburg.
Today's buyer can meet face-to-face with the premier local builders and remodelers at this year's Expo. From choosing a builder and a lender for your dream home to remodeling your kitchen to planning an addition to your existing home, the Expo will have experts available to guide consumers in their decision-making. Most important, consumers will know that all the companies are licensed, insured, reputable business professionals who employee local workers, follow all codes and regulations, and stand behind their work. Consumers will also find valuable information on the home buyer tax credit and incentive programs available for new home building and remodeling, particularly in the area of energy efficiency.
The home builders and remodelers expo takes place on the same day as the Leesburg Art Festival and Farmers' Market.
The Home Builders Association of Lake-Sumter, formed in 1973, is a trade organization representing 275 member businesses. The HBA provides legislative advocacy, interacts with local governmental agencies, conducts continuing education programs for its membership, and supports Future Builders of America chapters and scholarship opportunities. Kevco Builders of Tavares Announces Expansion to Leesburg and New Showcase and Design Studio Location
Tavares -- Kevco Builders, the area's premier remodeling company, is pleased to announce the opening of their Remodeling Showcase and Design Studio in Leesburg, with a Grand Opening 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Sat. March 5, 214 S. 14th St. This new location will serve as a Design Studio and Showroom that will preview the company's award winning work.
Kevco is the only 8-time winner of the Lake County Florida Home Builders Association "Remodeler's Showcase Award," 6 years in a Row. The new location is just another testament of the ability of the company to renovate a building into a showplace. The location was an eyesore for years on U.S. Hwy. 27, but with careful planning has been turned into a revitalization that we are sure the City of Leesburg is pleased with.
Joe Ziler, President of Kevco Builders, stated that it "could not be a better time for expansion." In a market where most are cutting back and trying to survive we are celebrating our 30th year in business and are gaining market share year over year. Don't misunderstand, we are "very frugal," states Ziler, "but we know where and when to spend our money to capture the most value." Ziler, a 20 year veteran in the construction business, loves the gratification that remodeling offers. "You are taking something that someone does not like, building on a vision, and delivering on that vision a finished product that the customer is very happy with." "This Showcase and Design Studio will be paramount in our success as the most sought after remodeling company in the area. It will showcase a bath display with garden tub, custom designed shower and designer vanity with all the bells and whistles. Additionally, we will have custom trim work, cabinet selections, faucet selections as well as granite and the newest Corian selections for 2010. It is what makes us unique and this will be the place where "the dream begins" for our clients." "We are much sought after when it comes to remodeling and over 70 percent of our business is from referrals and repeat customers. We care about our customers and always go the extra mile to deliver quality work and great value." Joe Ziler says that they remain committed to being Central Florida's leader in unique remodeling projects that many are not capable of taking on. We have a very qualified trade partner connection that allows us to take on structural projects in which few are capable. "We have raised ceiling heights, removed load bearing wall and added unique architectural features that other companies told the client were not possible." Kevco, at Joe's direction, is rolling out for 2010 the areas only Green Remodeling Program. "We have always been the leader in new products and programs and Green remodeling will be no different. We will lead the way in being stewards to the environment when it comes to how we approach our remodeling projects. We will always utilize best practices in Green Building and Green Products that reduce our carbon footprint and impact on the environment."
Kevco Builders was founded in 1980 by Kevin Burkholder. The company has been in business for 30 years. The first 16 years as a homebuilder of both affordable and custom homes and the past 16 as a remodeling company. Kevco Builders can be found on the web at www.KevcoBuilders.com or at 742-3398.
