Air Force Airman Christin E. Smith, daughter of Jeriann Smith of Mascotte and granddaughter of Colleen Judy of Clermont, graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, TX. Smith completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Smith also earned four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. The airman is a 2008 graduate of South Lake High School.
