School Calendar

n South Lake High School has scheduled an "Eagle Pride Meet the Teachers" night from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the cafeteria. Ninth grade parents are scheduled at 6 p.m. in the Flight Academy to meet the ninth grade teachers. The Screaming Eagle Band will perform. Teachers will be present to discuss plans with parents to improve students' skills and samples of their work will be available. A dinner will also be served.

CLMS at Gray at 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6

CLMS at Windy Hill at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Oct. 7

East Ridge at CLMS at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8

SL Charter at CLMS at 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13

Gray at CLMS at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21

Girls' teams play first, followed immediately by Boys' teams. All "In-school games" will be played in front of the home school's student body.

n The next ACT test will be administered on Oct. 25, Students who wish to take the college admission and placement exam must register by Sept. 19. Late registrations, with an additional fee, will be accepted until the final postmark deadline of October 3. Students can register online at www.actstudent.org, or pick up registration packets from high school counseling offices.

The cost is $31 for the traditional ACT and $46 for the ACT Plus Writing. Students in need of financial assistance should visit their school counselor for qualification information and to apply for a fee waiver. For information about special needs registration, go online to www.actstudent.org

n South Lake High School Advisory Council meets at 6:30 p.m the second Tuesday of the month. in the school media center and the public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

n The Clermont Elementary School library will be open from 6 - 8 p.m every Thursday night. All children must be accompanied by an adult, please do not DROP OFF your children. Open library will follow that same general schedule as CES - if school is closed, then the library will also be closed.

n Clermont Elementary School's Title I Parent Resource Room will also be open from 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursdays. Designed to target parents specifically; there will be Parent Involvement and Teacher Assistant available to help you with any resource available to help your child.
