n Give a Kid a Backpack Foundation has scheduled the second annual Night Golf Event beginning at 5 p.m. with a social hour on Saturday with the tee-off at 6 p.m.

n Lake County Library System has scheduled a program designed to relieve stress through meditation at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Cagans Crossings Community Library, 16729 Cagan Oaks, Clermont. Beatriz Elena de Bruna will be the speaker. The presentation is free and will be in Spanish.

n Moonlight Players has issued an invitation to the public to join the cast of "Babes in Toyland" from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29 at the Moonlight Players' theater for crafts, activities and performances. Bring a camera and take pictures on the set and with the cast. There will be a ticket giveaway at 3 p.m. This is a free event open to everyone.

n The South Lake Art League has scheduled Oil Painting classes from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. every Friday at the League's gallery, W. Montrose St., Clermont. The class is for both beginners and advanced painters. The registration fee is $30 with an additional $10 for supplies or you may bring your own. n Lake County Art Center, LLC's Club Moulin Mystere - 7 to 11p.m. on Saturdays for those who enjoy the unexpected and love a good mystery. Evenings of surprise artistic performances by local artists, comedians, dancers, and musicians. Entry is reserved for age 21 and over.
n City of Minneola Recreation Department's Beginner and Intermediate Line Dance classes are ongoing every Wednesday and will run for three more weeks in the City Hall Gymnasium. The beginner class will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and the intermediate class will be 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. Fee for the six week session is $30 and the instructor will be Nancy McDavid. n Congregation Sinai members are selling the new 2009 edition of the Entertainment Book, which is full of useful discount coupons for restaurants, theaters, car rentals and other events and businesses. The book costs $25 and is available by calling 243-5750 and leaving a message. All funds raised will go to the temple's building fund.
