n East Ridge High School's Knights Baseball Team has scheduled the sixth annual East Ridge Baseball Golf Tournament at 7:30 a.m.with registration and an 8:30 shotgun start on Saturday, Dec. 13 at Legend's Golf & Country Club, 1700 Legendary Blvd., Clermont. There will be a luncheon at 1 p.m. with a raffle and awards. The fee is $60 per person which will include the round of golf, a cart and the luncheon. n South Lake Junior Women's Club has scheduled a Golf Tournament on Saturday, Dec. 13 with registration at 7 a.m. and a shot-gun start at 8 a.m. at Sanctuary Ridge Golf Club. The format will be a 4 person scramble and the entry fee is $65 per person. The fee will include lunch, greens and cart fee, range balls before play, special events on the course as well as a beverage service.
Various sponsorships are available and "Super tickets" are available for $20 and "Super-duper tickets" are $30.

n Cutting Edge Sports and Fitness have scheduled a "Kids Fit 'N' Fun" program for children ages 8 to 11 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday, Dec. 2 to Mar. 1 at Trail Head Park, 317 Madison Ave., Minneola. The program is designed to be beneficial to all children regardless of athletic ability or fitness level. It is an easy, fun and exciting way for kids to stay fit and healthy. n First Baptist Church of Clermont have planned a program of basketball and cheerleading for girls and boys from kindergarten to eighth grade. There will be one practice and one game per week, registration will close by Dec. 8. For more information, call 394-4221
n The City of Minneola Recreation Department has scheduled a fall Aerobics Class from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. every Monday and Wednesday. The class will combine traditional "floor" aerobics for all fitness levels, followed by a muscle strength/toning segment, as well as stabilization exercises that target the body's core muscles. Each participant will be able to customize their own workout. The instructor will be Lee O'Donnell, a certified fitness professional and 15 year fitness industry veteran.
The fee for the class is $85 for Minneola residents and $95 for non-residents. To register, call 394-3598 ext. 227. Space is limited.
n Green Valley Women's Golf Association recently played their monthly tournament, followed by a luncheon and business meeting. The game was a Scotch Twosome and the winners were: first place went to Glenda Tannler and Theresa Schmidt; second place to Joan Ireland and Barbara Boyd; third place to Kathy Hubbel and Pat Orr and fourth place to Helen Bailles and Lucille Gross. All women members of Green Valley Country Club are invited to join the Golf Association at 8:30 a.m. each Thursday for play.
n The City of Minneola Recreation Department has begun an Adult Pickup Co-ed Volleyball Program from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. every Thursday at the City of Minneola's gym. Cost is $2 per player.
A co-ed Volleyball league is scheduled to begin play in January, a team fee is $200. Single players looking to join a team may leave their contact information with the Recreation Department. n The City of Minneola Recreation Department has scheduled a series of baton twirling lessons for girls ages six and up from 4 - 6 p.m. every Monday until May. The fee will be $30 for residents and $35 for non-residents per month plus a one time registration fee which will include a t-shirt.
