Q. What do you enjoy most about south Lake County?
A. Our church, family, friends, chamber and colleagues. The small-town feeling is still present, in spite of the growth.
Q. If you had to summarize your philosophy of life in one sentence, what would it be?
A. It is better to give than to receive. I've learned that ultimately 'takers' lose and 'givers' win!"
Q. Name a person or incident you've come across recently that's touched you in some way.
A. Recently an elderly patient of ours at Angels Care touched my heart in a special way, a true inspiration at 87 years old. She has an unwavering faith in God and everyday keeps putting one foot in front of the other.
Q. Why did this person or incident impress you so much? A. Even though she lives with physical and emotional pain, she has a positive outlook.
Q. How does your business or occupation contribute to the welfare of the area?
A. Our Nurses, P.T., O.T. Speech Therapists, Home Health Aides and Social Worker provide skilled medical services to seniors who have Medicare. This enables them to maintain their independence and live in their homes longer or recuperate from surgery or a hospitalization.
Q. Name one of your greatest accomplishments so far?
A. Recently, I was named in the top five marketers of our Home Health Agency. Also, I just recently became a Certified Senior Advisor after taking an extensive course and passing a national exam. This designation enables me to be a more efficient advocate & resource for seniors.
Q. What's something you've always wanted to do but haven't yet?
A. Parasailing and take a hot air balloon ride.
Q. What advice would you give to someone just venturing out into the business world?
A. Join a Toastmaster's Club to become more proficient at communicating and public speaking. Also, always follow through with what you promised. Keeping your word is one of the key elements to becoming a trustworthy, well respected professional in the business world.
