CLERMONT
Historical Society offers 'Holidays at the Village'
The South Lake County Historical Society will be conducting lantern tours of the decorated Historic Village, 490 West Ave., Clermont, beginning at 6 p.m. today.
Every room, the grounds and porch at the Historic Village will be decorated for the holidays by local service organizations and small businesses.
Lantern tours continue at 6 p.m.
on Wednesday; Dec. 15, and Dec. 18.
The Historic Village also will be open during regular hours from 1 to
3 p.m. on Fridays (except today), and from 1 to 4 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 23.
Admission is $5 for adults; children under age 15 accompanied by an adult are free.

Downtown Partnership hosts food truck night
Kona Dog, Firehouse Barbecue and Monsta Lobsta are some of the food trucks that will be at Minneola Ave., in historic downtown Clermont at
5:30 p.m. today.
Shops and restaurants will also be open for the event. Lawnchairs are suggested for seating.

Churches to give away
400 toys for the holidays
Living Message Church and Full Life Church have combined efforts to give away 400 free toys for the holidays in an effort to help parents give a gift to their children.
Gifts are limited to one per child and the child must be present with the parent (or bring the birth certificate if the child cannot attend), on a first-come, first-serve basis from
10 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Saturday, at Living Message Church, 341 N. U.S. Highway 27, in Clermont.

Orienteering championships coming to Lake Louisa Park
The Florida Orienteering Championships are coming to Lake Louisa State Park, 7305 U.S. 27, on Saturday and Sunday.
Registration is from 9:45 a.m. to noon.
Participants will use a map and compass to navigate to a series of checkpoints. The championships are open to everyone with entries being accepted at start times.
Preregistration is required for the Sunday long-distance races.
A small park-entry fee will be charged at the Lake Louisa Park gate.

Bluegrass festival coming to New Life Presbyterian
Enjoy lively Christmas bluegrass and down-home favorites, all presented in an outdoor tented stage with seating from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, at the church, 18237 E. Apshawa Road in Minneola.
Donkey rides, face painting, a bounce house and slide, hay rides and games will be available.

Elementary hosts talent show for the public
Join the fun at this student talent show from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the school, 930 Parkwood St.
Admission is $1 per person, and children age 3 and under get in free. Tickets will be available at the door.
