The clock strikes fall today, and that means one thing in Central Florida – the return of festivals and other outdoor events.

There is no official start to the area's festival season, but a quick look at the entertainment lineup in area towns and cities suggests that this weekend is it. Rifles, Rails and History, a three-day celebration of the Civil War era, runs Friday through Sunday, there is a classic car cruise-in in Eustis Saturday evening and the Wine, Whiskers and Wags benefit at Lakeridge Winery in Clermont also opens Saturday. And if Native American culture, with its rich tradition and vibrant rituals, is your thing, the Native American Holiday Pow Wow at Dade Battlefield Historic State Park in Bushnell might be your thing.

Here's a look at what's On Tap around the area this weekend.
