While parades are a staple holiday event in most towns, there are some unique events to enjoy this weekend too. Eustis hosts the 1st Friday Street Party, you can get in on a light-up ceremony in Clermont or Christmas Walk in Mount Dora on Saturday. Saturday features parades in Clermont, Lady Lake, Mount Dora and Leesburg. Motorcycles will be on the fly for the 13th annual Toy Run Saturday in Leesburg. Enjoy a one-man performance of “A Christmas Carol” at the Leesburg Public Library, Shop for Christmas event in Minneola, Christmas on the Caligari concert at the Modernism Museum or Christmas of the Florida Frontier at Dade Battlefield in Bushnell. Wind down Sunday evening with the Venetian Garden Light Up and Boat Parade.

1st Friday Street Party

Historic Downtown Eustis hosts the 1st Friday Street Party from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday. The event features live music with Southern Chaos on Center Stage, vendors and all restaurants are open for business. Details at www.eustis.org.

Light up Clermont

Light up Clermont is two days of holiday fun from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday. Friday features food trucks, the tree lighting, holiday music and Santa and Mrs. Claus. Saturday features crafts, food, music and a holiday parade. Details at www.clermontfl.gov/events.

13th annual Toy Run

Rev up your motorcycle for the 13th annual Toy Run presented by the Lake County United Motorcyclist Association on Saturday. The run starts at 9 a.m. at Wal-Mart in Leesburg – join Santa for coffee and doughnuts — and ends at Gator Harley-Davidson, 1745 U.S. Highway 441 in Leesburg. To register, bring a new, unwrapped toy (no stuffed animals) and $10. Kick stands up at 11 a.m.

'A Christmas Carol'

Bring the family to a one-man performance of “A Christmas Carol” by Broadway actor Duffy Hudson at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Leesburg Public Library, 100 E. Main St. Free.

Lady Lake Christmas Parade

The 12th annual Lady Lake Christmas Parade marches along Old Dixie Highway 10 a.m. Saturday. The theme is Miracle on Old Dixie Highway and features floats, bands, fire trucks and Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Shop for Christmas

Takes place at the Minneola City Hall gymnasium Saturday. Huge indoor sale with baked items, book sale and yard sale. For more information, call the Minneola Schoolhouse Library at 352-432-3921.

Christmas on the Caligari

Experience the "esherick to Nakashima" exhibit with classical pianist Jeffrey Chodil in a special "Christmas on the Caligari" concert at the Modernism Museum, 145 E. Fourth Ave., Mount Dora. Holiday Concert and Open House

The Alonzo A. Young, Sr. Enrichment & Historical Center hosts a Holiday Open House and parade at 10 a.m. Saturday at the corner of County Road 229 and County Road 462, heading to the Royal Park at CR 462 and County Road 235 in Wildwood. Following the parade there will be a live holiday concert with singers, dancers and a live DJ. Enjoy holiday art, food, a car show and tour the Young Center. Christmas of the Florida Frontier

Enjoy music, crafts, dancing, tree decorating, refreshments and vendors at the Christmas of the Florida Frontier from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Dade Battlefield Historic State Park, 7200 County Road 603 in Bushnell. Participants can make several holiday crafts using pine needles, cereal rye and pine cones. Cost is $5 per vehicle up to 8 or $2 per person.

Mount Dora Christmas Walk and Parade

Mount Dora will host its 24th annual Christmas Walk from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and its 56th annual Christmas Parade 10 a.m. Saturday in downtown Mount Dora. Free.

Leesburg Christmas Parade

Enjoy an evening of holiday entertainment at Leesburg Christmas Parade 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday. There are live performances, Christmas lights, rides, Moon Walk and inflatable kids games. Light-up and Boat Parade
