The weekend promises a variety of activities around the county. The 17th Annual Winefest Friday through Sunday at Lakeridge Winery in Clermont offers winery tours and tastings, local artists and crafters and musical entertainment. Vote for the chili of your choice at George's inaugural Chili Cookoff Saturday at Ferran Park in Eustis. Travel back in history with a vintage fashion show featuring clothing from the 1830s to World War II Friday evening at the Dade Battelfield Histoic State Park. A different kind of music will be at the Leesburg Public Library Saturday as the October Mountain Washtub Band plays country, bluegrass, gospel, patriotic and pop songs with some very unique instruments. A concert of love songs or more for Valentine's Day with the Paul Deritter Band opens with a wine reception Saturday at the Modernism Museum Mount Dora. “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is the movie for Food Truck-N-Flick Night Saturday at Towne Square in Leesburg.

27th Annual Winefest

Enjoy the fruits of the harvest at the 27th Annual Winefest Friday through Sunday at Lakeridge Winery, 18238 U.S. 27 North in Clermont. A full range of award-winning table wines, from dry to sweet, are available along with complimentary winery tours and wine tasting. There is a vendor area with local artists and crafters selling their work along with food, beer and wine. Bring lawn chairs or blankets for live music on an outdoor stage. Cost: $2 donation. Winefest is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Details: www.lakeridgewinery.com.

Historical Fashion Show

Live models will be displaying historical fashions from the 1830s to World War II Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Dade Battlefield Historic State Park, 7200 County Road 603 in Bushnell. Light refreshments will be served. Cost: $3 per vehicle or annual park pass.

George's Chili Cookoff

Between 15 and 20 chili-cooking teams will be vying for awards at the inaugural George's Chili Cookoff from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Ferran Park in Eustis. There will be a beer truck and music provided by a DJ.

“There are really a lot of great participants,” said Christie Bobbitt, executive director of the Lake Eustis Area Chamber of Commerce. “Two participating teams have won national competitions so the chili should really be great.”

Cost: $8 adults, $5 children ages 10 and younger.

October Mountain Washtub Band

The washtub is bass as the washboard taps out rhythm in the October Mountain Washtub Band at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday at the Leesburg Public Library, 100 E. Main St. Selections include classic country, bluegrass, gospel patriotic and pop songs Free.

Paul Deritter Band Concert

Celebrate Valentine's Day Saturday with a concert of love songs and more by the Paul Deritter Band at the Modernism Museum Mount Dora, 145 E. Fourth Ave. Cost: $20 members, $25 non-members. Doors open for a sparkling wine reception at 7 p.m. and the concert begins at 7:30 p.m.

Food Truck-N-Flick Night

It's dinner and a movie from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Towne Square, 510 W. Main St. in Leesburg with food trucks, live music and a movie. Darth Vader will make an appearance before the movie “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
