Clermont Suspect wanted from gas station robbery

Clermont police are looking for a lone male they said robbed a convenience store clerk at gunpoint Tuesday morning.

The robbery happened about 6:05 a.m. at the Shell gas station at 899 W. State Road 50.

According to police, a female employee had walked into the store to open for business, when a masked man rushed in behind her. The suspect demanded money while displaying a black handgun and fled in an unknown direction with about $200 in cash.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5-feet, 4-inches to 5-feet, 9-inches tall, slim build, about 140-150 pounds and between 18 to 35 years of age. He was wearing a camouflage shirt, jeans, dark gloves and his face was covered.
