Two teens have been arrested on suspicion of robbing a Dollar General Store at gunpoint — and then bragging about the robbery.

Jarvielle Walker, 15, was charged with robbery with a deadly weapon and grand theft. He was initially arrested in Marion County and jailed there before being placed in the Lake County Jail on Wednesday, where he remains in lieu of $63,000 bail.

Kory Alan Gearhart, 14, was arrested in late March for the same robbery. There was no record of him being in the Lake County Jail on Thursday.

According to reports, Walker and Gearhart walked into the Dollar General store in Minneola just after 10 p.m. on Feb. 7, wearing bandanas over their faces and green gloves. Walker reportedly had a black semi-automatic pistol and Gearhart had a silver revolver — and they both demanded money.

The two fled the store with about $1,300.

A witness said the teens later bragged about the robbery and waved the money around.

A school resource deputy from nearby East Ridge High School looked at surveillance video from the store and was able to identify both suspects as students.

Walker also was jailed Wednesday on charges from a home burglary where three firearms were stolen. Detectives said during a search of Walker’s home they spotted the same tennis shoes he allegedly wore during the armed robbery.
